Meet the Doctors

Dr. Ananth Selliyan is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at South County Eye Care. A native to St. Louis, he proudly returned to serve his home community. Dr. Selliyan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Truman State University, graduating with Cum Laude honors and recognized as a Who’s Who Inductee. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, graduating with Cum Laude honors and inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society and Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society. Following completion of an Internal Medicine internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, he returned to University of Missouri- Kansas City to complete his Ophthalmology residency. Dr. Selliyan is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. His primary areas of interest include routine exams, diabetic eye exams, cataract surgery, minimally invasive and laser glaucoma surgery, macular degeneration, and retinal vascular diseases. Dr. Selliyan is committed to excellence, providing the best individualized eye care to every patient.

Dr. Eric Pfeifer has recently moved to the Saint Louis region. Originally from northeast Nebraska, Eric completed his undergraduate degree at Wayne State College. He then moved to Saint Louis to attend the University of Missouri-Saint Louis College of Optometry. During that time Dr. Pfeifer was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Academic Honor Society and Dean’s list throughout all four years of optometry school. He was also involved with various organizations including vice-president of the America Optometric Student Association.

Dr. Pfeifer offers individualized eye care, tailored to each patient. His clinical interests include primary eye care, ocular disease with an emphasis on cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eyes. He is also interested in soft and specialty contact lens care. As a practicing Physician, Dr. Pfeifer values continual professional development and is a current member of the American Optometric Association, the Missouri Optometric Association, and the Saint Louis Optometric Society.
